I give this 4 stars due to 'sizing issues'. Before I ordered this again from Amazon, I originally had ordered this in the recommended size XXS from Petco for my 4lb. 6oz Maltese who has a 10.5" waist and according to the size specifications the size XXS 'should' have worked for my dog. However when I received the 'XXS' it was ridiculously small and would have been cruel to try to use it on my dog, it would have cut off his circulation and compressed his male parts in a very unhealthy manner. I think the XXS would only work for use on an extremely tiny teacup dog perhaps weighing in the 1-2 lb range. I re-ordered the same belly band in the next size up from 'Amazon' instead this time -- I was able to find it cheaper here on Amazon :} The second time around I ordered a size 'XS'. The XS size is significantly larger than the XXS and does indeed work on my dog. It's a little bit large on him, but once I stick a sanitary napkin to the inside of it the fit is fine. I plan to use this band as 'insurance' when I visit family and friends. Our dog is just 9 months old and is currently still working on perfecting his house training skills, and will rarely on occasion still have an accident. I can relax when my dog is wearing this and don't have to worry he will urinate in my family/friends homes when we visit. I also will use it in my own home during those times when I am reading etc. and can't keep a constant watch over my dog to prevent accidents. The item seems well made but I wish it came in some non-surfer, non-tough guy themed design patterns.I got this for my beautiful 3-5 year old dog that I adopted in March. He'd been neutered shortly before I got him so still had a bunch of testosterone in his system. My house is new to him, he probably had a nomadic history, so I forgave his marking on the walls (not peeing - this is not a bladder issue, it's one of control). Fast forward a month and I'm no longer as cheerful about going through rags and bottles of Nature's Miracle. It's getting better, fewer events, but it hasn't gone away.Enter PlayaPup Dog Belly Band! I was so stoked, and, honestly amused that my dog would be wearing a diaper. I got the one with sharks on, feeling that he mightn't feel as embarrassed with man-eaters circling his hinders; he'd feel a little bad-ass.Turns out he loved it. First night, kept it on all night, no marking. Second day, no problem, no marking. Second night, third day, no problem. End of third day. I un-strap him for our walkies and his band was wet. There was a small puddle on the floor and a few drips around. It was not pee.Did you know that neutered male dogs can love something to um completion? I didn't, either. I was horrified and ran to my old friend Google. Sure enough, the aspca has a little section about dogs and their sexual habits. So while I love the doggie Belly Band by PlayaPup (great company - super fast shipping, cool stuff, generous return policy - but I won't return ours because um. Ew is why I won't return it), my dog LOVE loves it.Looking for next solution. This is a wonderful product, but just not for my particular um precocious dog.I bought this for my intact male who has started marking indoors--not in our house, but in his training class. Got it this afternoon, just in time for class and put it on him. He hated it, and he kept marking. And marking. And marking. To my great mortification, he even tried to pee on people! BUT...this product contained all the pee! None came out and got on anyone! I didn't even put a pad in it or anything since I'd just got it....but it is made of stretchy neoprene , and it contained quite a lot of pee before it started leaking out (then I added some papertowels.)I never expected it to work quite so well, so even though my boy hasn't learned not to do this yet, I do think this is a great product, and I believe it must be far superior to cotton ones which I don't think would hold in the pee so well. One thing though...My boy is 20 inches at the waist, so I ordered a large, figuring it would be a good size for him and it does work, but it's really a bit too big. So in this case, I'm guessing that if you're right in between, you might not need to size up. I could have gone with a medium I think. But this size still does work, and I suppose if you were putting a big pad in there, then you'd want this size for your medium sized dog. (My dog is 40 pounds).I'm giving this 4 stars because this was my personal experience and some peoples dogs are better with these than others. But let me just tell you. This is great for keeping a dog in potty training from peeing the bed or carpet at night or just in general. But they pee a lot. All the time. And you have to be on this like white on rice to clean it. I tried toilet paper. Panty liners. Anything to absorb the liquid, but in the end, if you arent checking it every hour. Your pets male business is just sitting in acidic urine. That can cause some massive urinary issues. And over time even after wash after wash, it got SO SMELLY! The stench of pee just doesn't go away. So I would NOT recommend for potty training. I would say, just use it for the pet who can't hold their bladder. But most dogs who are incontinent are older, and they will just keep going. So realistically you are going to have spill over anyways. So take this review with a grain of salt. The idea is great, but only if your dog doesnt pee ALL the time.My standard poodle was on meds which made him dribble a bit. The belly band with a sanitary liner worked perfectly! Easy on & easy off. Washable. The belly band stayed put.Die Rüdenwindel oder eher Bandage passt wirklich gut. Durch den breiten Klettverschluss hat man wirklich genügend Spielraum, sodass die angegebene Größe passt. Mit einer dickeren Damenbinde oder auch einer Inkontinenzbinde geht nichts daneben. Mein Rüde trägt sie nur nachts.Very fast delivery. Ordered this product on Friday and it was delivered to my door on Sunday morning. Belly band as described and fits perfectly.Very nice fit and substantial constructionExcellent product and excellent experience dealing with Amazon, thank you
