These Troy TSD-R Dumbbells also offer pinned head technology. A steel pin inside the dumbbell head pierces the inserted handle laterally. This keeps the dumbbell head from breaking completely free of the handle if the dumbbell head to handle joint is ever compromised or broken. If this occurs, looseness in the dumbbell head will be noticed and you must replace the dumbbell without further use, immediately.
