I weigh 285, not exactly the profile for a cyclist, but whatever. I did a lot of searching for a trainer that could handle my weight. I bought this and put it together in about 10 minutes, including reading the instructions. The on-line video is much faster. I cranked it up to level 8 and used my gears from there. 30 minutes later, I was soaked. Very quiet. Not a bother at all to watch TV while riding. It is strong, stable and does not wobble, even with my weight, but make sure you're on a hard floor. Could wobble slightly on carpeting. Folds easily and removes easily for road time. Note: the smooth resistance wheel did not damage my tires at all, even under heavy peddling. I strongly recommend it!I was able to get this for under $30 so I thought it was a good deal. The package was previously opened and it looks like the other Amazon customer gave up trying to assemble it.The hardware was fine. The resistance is not amazing. But it works. It is also compact so we are currently keeping it next to our Ikea couch.The instructions is the killer. It does not explain everything to assemble. What explanations were provided were written poorly. If you are not mechanically inclined it might be difficult. My husband was irritated and mumbling and grumbling while assembling it.Let’s just say if on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best, Ikea is 3.5 and these instructions 1.5. If there were better instructions and the price was reasonable I would give it 5 stars.I got this to train in my house. But I have to take it out to the garage because it can get very loud. I can hear it even with my headset on. The trainer is sturdy and easy to assemble.I ordered and assembled this for my mother who always misses riding her bike during the winter. I will say it's a little tricky to assemble using just the manual, but the instructional video they put up by the description helps fill in all those gaps. It's extremely sturdy: I don't worry about my mother when she's up on her bike with it. It looks nice, is easy to adjust, and fits her bike perfectly.That said, I can't say in all honesty that it's all that quiet. It's something that's advertised in this model, but because of what you're asking it to do, it's honestly impossible to realistically expect that from any bike trainer stand. Friction makes noise. A lot of friction makes a lot of noise.I definitely recommend this model for its overall ease-of-use, look, and function, but don't expect it to perform miracles for you as far as noise management is concerned. If it bugs you, buy noise-canceling headphones and tune it out, or just commit to an indoor stationary bike and let your outdoor bike chill in the shed for the season. Either way, this is a worthy purchase as long as you know what you're getting into.I have been using this stand with my mountain bike and I was impressed how sturdy it is. It is a bit noisy when riding but nothing my earbuds won’t solve.I’m pretty happy with this purchase. The build quality is solid for the price. All components are well machined with no manufactory defect. Setting up took about 15 mins including unboxing. One thing to note is that you have to replace your rear axle rod with the one provided in order to connect with the stand. The geometry of the stand is very stable especially when pairing with the included front wheel chock. One thing I like the most is the ability to adjust the resistance level on the fly. The cable operated adjuster offers 8 increments to chose from and each click is precious with no sloppy indention. However the cable is bit long for my bike, but I used zip tie to guide it along the frame. Another cool feature is the height adjustment leg covers which offer you 5 different level of heights to give you a more tailored riding positions. The roller noise level is acceptable, but I do wear my headphone if I intend to exercise longer period of time. Overall I really enjoyed it and put it in-front of you TV or computer to watch a cycle training video will definite enhance your in door riding experience to beat the COVID.I have been wanting to get one of these for a while. With the winter months rolling in, I decided to give one try. I like how easy it is to put together and it works great. I also like that it doesn't take up much space and it's easy to put away. There is nothing I don't like at this point. I use it while watching spin class videos online. Definitely a lower priced alternative to buying a full exercise bike.Works well for a bike ride. Nothing fancy but good workout. Adjustable resistance works well.
